The Problem of Private Prisons w/ Kristy Figueroa Contreras, Paul Wright, Jerry Ianelli, and Joe Stone

Private prisons are the scourge of civilization.

The food is awful, the water tastes like it came from a gutter in Flint, Michigan, and sending an email costs more than a Rolls Royce lease payment.

It took Americans from 1776 till 1986 to lock up its first one million fellow citizens; some needed to be put away for sure.

But from 1986 to 2006, we locked up another 1.5 million, giving the U.S. the number one spot for most people in cages.

Everything about prisons equals misery and some say it should be. But private prisonprisons take the cake, and the corruption there is at a whole other level.

Private prison lobbyists play American politicians like a cheap fiddle, and that’s why our country has the highest incarceration rate in the world.

The fake news is complicit, and even the real news has such a low standard for truth that what’s really going on is never what’s really going on the front page.

Thanks to greed and false intentions, and a, “we don’t care” attitude nowadays modern slavery is perpetuated by a simple campaign contribution to both sides.

Where there is injustice for one, there is injustice for all. Welcome to Felony Miami. Let’s air it out.
